Zadar Archipelago at the Biograd Boat Show 2026

calendar iconOct 27, 2026

After a fulfilling season exploring the beautiful Croatian Adriatic with our guests, the team behind Zadar Archipelago boat tours turned its attention towards the next chapter. On Friday, 23 October 2026, members of our team attended the 28th Biograd Boat Show, one of the most important nautical industry events in Croatia and Central Europe.

Our mission was clear: reconnect with local colleagues, meet industry professionals, explore new opportunities, and assess potential additions to our Lolivul 9 speedboat fleet ahead of the 2027 season.

The Biograd Boat Show

Held at Marina Kornati in Biograd na Moru, the Biograd Boat Show has developed from a regional nautical exhibition into a major international gathering for the boating and charter industries. Entering its 28th edition in 2026, the event continues to strengthen Croatia’s reputation as one of Europe’s leading boating destinations.

The show’s importance is easy to understand when you consider its scale. Following a record-breaking 2025 edition, the 2026 event showcased more than 400 exhibitors, over 500 vessels, and upwards of 40 world and Croatian premieres.

Seeing a vessel in person provides a very different perspective from browsing specifications or photographs online. The available space, movement around the deck, seating arrangements, accessibility, and overall impression become much easier to assess when you are physically on board.

For anyone working in the Croatian nautical tourism industry, this is an opportunity to see the direction in which the market is moving. From speedboats and luxury yachts to outboard motors, marine equipment, maintenance services, and charter-related businesses, the exhibition brings together the people and products that shape the boating experience.

For Zadar Archipelago, operating speedboat tours along the Zadar coastline and throughout the surrounding islands, this makes the Biograd Boat Show particularly relevant. Our business depends on reliable vessels, knowledgeable local partners, and equipment suited to the specific demands of exploring the Adriatic.

The show provides a place where all three come together.

A Bigger Vision for 2027

A successful summer season is always something to celebrate. Welcoming guests aboard our speedboats, introducing visitors to the islands, and sharing the coastline around Zadar are at the heart of what we do.

However, every season also provides valuable lessons. It shows us where we can improve, which aspects of our operation deserve further investment, and how we can continue to meet the expectations of travellers seeking memorable experiences on the Croatian coast.

As we began looking towards 2027, we recognised the importance of consolidating our efforts and making thoughtful decisions about the future of our fleet.

Our Lolivul 9 speedboats are an important part of our operation, and any potential expansion needs to make sense for the type of excursions we offer. Choosing a boat for speedboat tours requires considering passenger comfort, practical layout, performance, reliability, maintenance requirements, and suitability for the routes we operate.

A boat that looks spectacular at the marina must also prove its value when carrying guests between islands.

That is why we approached the Biograd Boat Show with a practical mindset. We wanted to explore potential additions to our existing Lolivul 9 fleet, compare available options, and speak directly with the professionals who understand the technical and commercial realities of operating boats in Croatia.

Our goal was to gather information, evaluate possibilities, and identify opportunities that could contribute to better Zadar Archipelago boat tours in the coming season.

More Than 400 Exhibitors and Over 500 Vessels

One of the first things that stood out was the sheer variety of the exhibition.

With more than 400 exhibitors and over 500 vessels expected at the 2026 show, there was no shortage of places to visit or conversations to start. The exhibition covered a broad range of nautical interests, bringing together boat manufacturers, engine suppliers, marine service providers, maintenance specialists, and professionals working across Croatia’s extensive boating and charter sectors.

Our team scattered throughout the show, each exploring different stands and displays to make the most of the time available.

For a speedboat tour company, a well-maintained boat and a reliable network of local professionals help support smooth departures, dependable operations, and the high standards visitors expect when booking a private or small-group excursion on the Adriatic.

Some conversations focused on boats that could potentially suit our operation. Others centred on the services and technical solutions that keep a speedboat fleet running smoothly throughout the season. We also took the opportunity to discover new products, learn about developments in the industry, and strengthen relationships with local suppliers.

This variety is one of the reasons the Biograd Boat Show remains so valuable to businesses like ours.

While walking around the exhibition offered plenty of inspiration, some of the most valuable moments came when we had the opportunity to step aboard boats that were under consideration for our operation.

We also made time to enjoy the more social side of the event. Sampling local delicacies, exchanging stories with fellow boating professionals, and getting to know the people behind the businesses are all part of building a strong presence within the local nautical community.

After all, the Croatian boating industry is built on relationships as much as it is on vessels and equipment.

Networking with Industry Professionals

Another major reason for our visit was networking.

The Biograd Boat Show is widely recognised as a meeting place for Croatia’s nautical industry, bringing together boatbuilders, charter operators, suppliers, service providers, tourism professionals, and international business visitors.

For a company specialising in Zadar Archipelago boat tours, maintaining strong relationships within this community is essential.

Conversations with local suppliers can reveal practical solutions to operational challenges. Discussions with other tour operators offer opportunities to exchange experiences and learn how different businesses approach the demands of the season.

Meeting industry professionals helps us stay informed about new products, changing customer expectations, and developments that could influence our future decisions.

The show’s business programme reinforces this role. The Biograd B2B platform supports professional networking and meeting arrangements, while the 10th Croatian Nautical Days congress programme, held from 21 to 23 October 2026, brought together industry associations, businesses, and professionals for meetings, presentations, and networking activities.

The 8th Croatia Charter Expo, held in Hall D on 21 and 22 October, was another important part of the wider event. It connected Croatian charter fleet operators with international charter agencies, brokers, and suppliers, with more than 3,000 charter yachts represented through participating Croatian providers.

Although Zadar Archipelago focuses on speedboat excursions rather than operating a conventional yacht charter fleet, these wider industry connections are relevant to our work. They reflect the strength of Croatia’s nautical tourism sector and the importance of cooperation between businesses serving visitors to the Adriatic.

That is exactly the kind of long-term value we hoped to take away from the show.

A Welcome Change in the Weather

The first two days of the Biograd Boat Show were marked by rainy weather, which made it more difficult to appreciate the vessels and outdoor displays in ideal conditions.

For an event centred on boats and life on the water, sunshine certainly helps. Natural light makes it easier to appreciate a vessel’s lines and finishes, while pleasant temperatures encourage visitors to spend more time exploring the marina and its surroundings.

Fortunately, Friday brought a welcome change.

The weather improved, temperatures climbed, and the atmosphere around the marina became much more inviting. Conditions were warm enough that some visitors even took a short swim at nearby beaches, offering a reminder of why Croatia remains such an attractive destination for boating enthusiasts.

Sometimes, the most valuable outcome of networking is simply meeting the right person, exchanging knowledge, and establishing a connection that may become useful in the future.

For our team, the better weather made the day especially enjoyable. We could spend more time moving between displays, examining vessels, meeting suppliers, and enjoying the wider atmosphere of the exhibition.

Experiencing the Atmosphere

The 2026 programme also included entertainment and events designed to bring visitors together beyond the business day. Friday’s programme featured a free concert by Daleka Obala in Hall B, accompanied by the Angels Dance Company. Saturday’s festivities were scheduled to include the Orion Fireworks display, followed by a free concert from Cubismo and a performance by the Sambastica Dance Group.

The wider Croatia Luxury and Adventure Travel Show, hosted in Hall D from Friday through Sunday, added another dimension to the programme, presenting luxury travel and adventure experiences alongside premium automobiles, products, music, and wine and cocktail tastings.

What the Biograd Boat Show Means for Zadar Archipelago Boat Tours

So, what does our visit mean for the future of Zadar Archipelago?

First, it reinforced the importance of continuous improvement. A successful season is a reason to celebrate, but it should also be a starting point for identifying how we can do things better. Evaluating new vessels, reviewing available equipment, and maintaining relationships with reliable suppliers are all part of that process.

We inspected several boats, discussed their features, and gathered information that will help us assess which options best suit our operation. Any future investment must support the type of excursions we offer and deliver genuine value for our guests.

Our responsibility is to support the expectations of our guests through thoughtful planning, suitable boats, dependable operations, and attention to the details that make a tour enjoyable and the Biograd Boat Show offered a valuable opportunity to work towards those goals.

Ultimately, the aim is straightforward: to keep improving the experience we provide on the water.

Looking Ahead to the 2027 Season

As we look towards 2027, we return from the Biograd Boat Show with fresh ideas and useful industry connections.

We will take the time to consider which improvements make the most sense for our business and how any additions to our Lolivul 9 fleet could contribute to the quality of our excursions.
