The Kornati Islands is an archipelago that counts 140 islands, 89 of these islands and islets belong to the Kornati National Park. According to a legend, the Kornati, a maze of sea passages and islets, was created from a number of rocks God had leftover after creating the world. He tossed them into the sea, looked at them, and decided nothing else needed to be corrected. The Kornati archipelago consists of 140 uninhabited islands, islets, and reefs.
